Head of Publications

The Head of Publications role will require a larger time commitment compared to the officer positions (5+ hours). As a member of the executive, the role requires dedication to the decision-making body of the Institute particularly in relation to the publication matters. Generally, the role will require the successful applicant to:

  • oversee and delegate tasks to the Publications team to ensure compliance with our publications process;

  • review incoming submissions to our publications portfolio and track the process throughout. This includes reviewing publications content on our website;

  • serve as an editor on our International Law Guides checking for grammatical accuracy, content, referencing and layout.

We are looking for an individual with experience in writing and editing academic articles, and strong English skills. Publishing experience is preferred, but not essential.

Publications Officer

This is an exciting opportunity for a budding publications officer to expand their publications portfolio, and gain some editorial experience. Your role will include:

  • contributing to our blog page on our website;

  • editing content submitted internally and externally for publication;

  • reviewing and contributing to our international law guides.

Projects Officer

As our Institute expands, so do our projects. This year we have a number of exciting projects upcoming and need a few extra pairs of hands to assist. As a projects officer, you will:

  • assist in organising and facilitating our planned projects. This includes preparing schedules, educational programs and assisting our Head of Projects and Head of Partnerships and Innovation;

  • engage and organise local events for our members within certain regions.

Career Officer

This is a brand new role within the Institute! We want to be able to assist our members in taking all opportunities that arise to them. Our Careers Office will assist us in achieving this goal. As a Careers Officer, you will:

  • identify jobs and opportunities in the international law and affairs space for us to disseminate to our members;

  • assist in organising career related workshops and engaging individuals to participate;

  • curate career related materials for dissemination.
